Nike Chicago Style

Role: Lead Designer, Copywriting, Strategy Agency: Wieden+Kennedy

For 2 weeks, we transformed a local diner on the west-side of Chicago into an immersive community hub, showcasing the city’s sports legacy and the local athletes who are making a difference. We invited kids from all over to come and experience how sports can positively impact their community, shift perceptions and make them proud of their hometown.

To do so, we gave the diner a complete visual overhaul, infusing the existing diner vernacular with a powerful dose of sports messaging, graphics and memorabilia. We redesigned every bit of interior and exterior signage, gave the food packaging a new look, and topped it off by designing a vibrant basketball court behind the diner where we hosted pick-up games, dance classes and training camps. Additionally we created a range of fresh merch like hats, shirts, jerseys, and even aprons for the staff to wear as they served up some classic Chicago style Hot dogs.
